OriginLab recommends running Origin from Boot Camp, if dual-booting is an option. For those who prefer to run Origin as an application on your Mac desktop without a reboot of the Mac OS, we suggest the following virtualization software. Probably not about TS4, but I still have trouble opening to Origin, and my proxy is unchecked, no malware and ran Origin as an admin. Is there a way to go online? And no, I'm not deleting Origin. If that's my last resort, I'll do it.
Origin Access is an all-you-can-play membership service for PC gamers. Membership unlocks The Vault, a growing collection of great PC games you can download and play as much as you want. Plus, members can play upcoming EA games before they're released for a limited time, and score an automatic 10% discount on Origin purchases, including full games, pre-orders, DLC, FIFA points, and kitchen sinks. OK, maybe not that last one, but you get the point. First EA does this with 1.69 not being ported to OS X, and now with Origin Access is unavailable on OS X. That means that Mac users won't get the Vault, being able to play upcoming EA games before release as well as the 10% discount. Furthermore, only Vault games and First Trials are playable on Windows.
That means if The Sims 3, The Sims Medieval, and The Sims 4 are on the Vault, you will not be able to play them despite those games supporting OS X on Origin. I probably wouldn't think it would be a major problem for Mac Simmers since the only popular EA titles that do support both Windows and OS X are The Sims 3, The Sims 4, and SimCity 2013 and I'm pretty sure most Simmers own The Sims 3 and/or The Sims 4. Plus, most other EA titles are only available for Windows anyway so I don't think it's a big deal unless if you want TS3 or TS4 to play through the Vault.
What do you Mac users think about Origin Access being unavailable on OS X?
